Michelle McCluer, who is executive director of the Washington-based National Institute of Military Justice, is responsible for prosecuting our soldiers for doing what they have been trained to do, kill the enemy. We all know that war causes the loss of innocent lives, but what do we exspect, it's war. If we were in the shoes of the marines that are getting shot at or bombed on a daily basis, would we have done something different? I know I wouldn't have done a single thing any different than the marines did. Shoot or be shot. Do your job, kill the enemy. Train day and night and learn how to best kill the enemy. That is how a soldier is trained. Now McCluer wants to send and has sent our marines and soldiers to prison. It is sad that innocent people had to die, but isn't it also sad that our marines and soldiers had to die? They did what they were trained to do under very extreme conditions. Imagine finding a fellow marine or soldier that you have lived with, trained with, learned to do what you were told to do with, and bled with trying to be your best, imagine finding that person in filth ridin mud hut with his head cut off. Our government told our millitary leaders to train the finest soldiers the world has ever known, teach them to take one shot and make one kill with that shot. So our millitary leaders did just that. Our soldiers and marines do not waste brass. Do you think McCluer should pass judgement on the marines and soldiers that are serving OUR country out there where you can see sand in every direction that reaches the horizon? It is not fair. Casualties of war, it will happen, and McCluer should know that. No questions asked, I have our marines and soldiers back. Can you say the same thing McCuer?... Read More »
